Episode 3: Kick off Meeting

Storyline

A group of interns is starting a new project: they plan to build an interactive website to help employees at their company learn about cybersecurity. Although some of them have never built a website before, they are excited and willing to learn.

To begin, their teacher introduces important internet-related vocabulary. By the end of the lesson, the interns feel more confident. They are ready to keep learning and begin working on their website.

Learning Objectives

  1. Students will be able to identify and define key internet-related terms such as “website,” “web address,” “browser,” “search engine,” and “server” in English.

  2. Students will be able to explain the difference between a browser and a search engine using examples (e.g., Google Chrome vs. Google Search) in their own words.

  3. Students will be able to engage in a basic discussion about internet tools by expressing what they already know and asking for clarification on unfamiliar terms.
